An Overseas Filipino Worker who visited this website once dropped a message asking about the office of Pag-IBIG Fund in his host country.
Definitely, there are a lot of OFW’s like him who are in the same situation. Their common questions include:
- Is there a Pag-IBIG Fund Office in [name of the country]
- I am based in [host country], how can I send my payment
- I want to be a member of Pag-IBIG, but I am still abroad. Can I send a representative?
It is true that there are many Filipino Workers and Immigrants scattered all around the globe. Many of them are dreaming of owning a home in the Philippines. And still many of them would want to contribute to Pag-IBIG to take advantage of Pag-IBIG Housing Loan Program For the Overseas Filipinos.
Here is a short directory of Pag-IBIG Offices / Representatives present in different parts of the world. Most of them are in the Middle East where majority of the Filipino Workers are based.
But before checking them, it helps if you can get in touch with the representatives of Pag-IBIG Overseas Program in Manila. Here it is:

bakit po wala dito sa Malaysia???
admin says
If you are based in Malaysia, the nearest contact of Pag-IBIG is in Singapore. Of course, there are many Overseas Filipinos scattered all around the world. I guess the reason why they are in one particular city and not in another has something to do with the number of Filipinos in that particular place. It would be very expensive for them to have a presence in a place where there are no Filipinos to be served.

sirs/ madam,
last october 2009 after completing all the requirements provided by your office in iloilo branch, i submitted an application for purchase of residential unit but until no there is no response yet of whats the status of my application.my wife is following it up since am presently employed here in saudi arabia.my wife informed me too that the agencies personnel had inspected already our collateralled property last january. i thought that your new procedure it will be very fast the approval if we completed all the requirements at the proper time but it seems this is only a propaganda.
admin says
Hi Rey,
Please check again with the Pag-IBIG Ilo-Ilo branch. There are indeed many things to consider before Pag-IBIG can give you the loan. Just because you need a loan doesn’t mean it will be given to you.
If it’s taking a long time, call them and get a clear explanation as to the reason.
John says
Hi, Just want to ask if how can i check if my employer back from philippines was register me or if i am a member of pag ibig already?
appreciate you immediate response..
thank you
admin says
John,
You can personally check with Pag-IBIG Fund office from where you were originally in the Philippines. Another is to have a representative here and give him/her your authorization to verify your status.

Yes, your loan application will depend on many factors the most important of which are the following:
Your Pag-IBIG contributions
Your capacity to pay (indicated by your income/salary)
Your stability at work/business (employment history / contract of employment)
jobelle says
I am based here in brunei for more than 1yr..and I’ve been a member of pagibig if I am not mistaken for 6 months dun pa yun sa last company ko sa Phils. Now I’m planning to update my membership and to check if member nga ako ng Pagibig..According to you, I can do it here in Brunei and once I confirmed na member nga ako for 6 months, I will going to update my membership status after ba nun pede akong magloan?, and yung loan ba eh good for buying a house lang how about if I am going to use it for my house renovation?
admin says
Jobelle,
Pag-IBIG requires that you have to have contributed at least 24 months. You may apply after that, but take note there are other factors to consider before you will be granted a loan. Please check this Loan Pre-Qualification article.
Guia Jacinto says
Hello,
My husband availed housing loan thru pag-ibig before we get married and worked in Dubai. How can we update of his contribution so his account will not stagnate and change his civil status as well.Thank you.
admin says
Guia,
Are you currently paying your monthly amortizations? If so, then your husband account must already be updated because the amortization also includes the contributions. Better proceed to the nearest Pag-IBIG Fund Office to inquire the status and your payments.

I was a member of Pag-ibig since 1991 then my membership has been reactivated last year when I went home I paid around P5,000. I was able to attend the seminar but then after that I failed to proceed since I did not have enough time, as my holiday was about to finish. Is there anybody from Riyadh who can assists me.
Thank you for your kind assistance.

Yes, you can still apply. The best thing is for you to assign a repesentative who will do the processing on your behalf.
Arnulfo M. Vergonia says
I just want to inquire how to apply for house improvement loan: I have an existing housing loan with Pag-ibig, I applied this housing loan since I was a local employee. But now I’m an OFW, I want to apply for multipurpose loan and/or house improvement loan just to do some improvement to my house. How I can start this process. May location : Middle East – Eastern Province – Al-Jubail, K.S.A.
Please give me feedback direct to my email.
Thank you. Goodluck!
admin says
Hi Arnulfo,
You may want to visit the Pag-IBIG Office where you got your original Pag-IBIG Loan. They should be able to entertain your home improvement loan. And since you are based outside of the Philippines, having a representative can help you in this process.
saimone says

Saimone,
It is best of you can do it here in the Philippines. You can send a representative. The nearest office is in the US.

Part of your question has already been answered in another post so please check it.
You can ask the Pag-IBIG Makati to consolidate all your contributions. Please allow them about two weeks or so to do this.

Hi!
Good day!
Member ako from 2005-2008. I stopped my contribution when I worked here in UAE.
Thank you in advance. 😉
admin says
Hi Haira,
Yes, you can continue (re-activate) with your membership and perhaps you might want to avail of Pag-IBIG Overseas Program. Don’t worry about your missed payments and there is no need to pay those missed contributions. Finally, you can “retrieve” all your records by simply requesting it from the office of Pag-IBIG.

Hi Ulysses,
Yes, that time frame is already enough. Just make sure that your income/employment documents are ready. If you are buying from a developer, they should be able to assist you.
One other thing you need to consider: You need to attend the seminar before you can apply for a housing loan. Please read the other related articles.

Hi i just want to ask how much the minimum amount that i can avail for the housing loan? i am paying monthly $15 contribution? and i paid almost 2yrs..pls response soon..aprreciate if u will calculate..
Thanks
Regz
admin says
Hi Regie,
Most of the borrowers would want to know the maximum, but you are certainly different. You are asking for the minimum. Actually, it’s hard to say house much (or how little) Pag-IBIG can grant you simply based on your contributions. Your salary / income has a lot more to do here than your contributions.

We have an on goin mortgaged property. For 18 mos we are paying directly to the developer (Robinsons Land). After that 18 months the balance of the total cost of the property will be under financing…They are suggesting a bank where we can apply..But I am thinking if it will be possible to apply financing with Pag-ibig? Can we apply lot purchase financing through Pag-Ibig? It is only a residential lot.
We appreciate any feedback on this matter.

Good day! I would just like to ask if its possible for an ofw to apply in POP and would just pay his contribution here in Philippines by allowing a representative to pay on his behalf? I have a friend kasi who is in the middle east right now. He opts sana to apply for a membership here in Davao instead of applying in the middle east. Pwede po b syang mg-apply and then magauthorize lng ng tao on his behalf since he’s not here? If so, what would be the requirements?Thank you very much.

Hi Gloria,
You need to fill-up an application form here in the Philippines.
But please take note that you have other options other than the Pag-IBIG Fund for your housing loan. You need to consider which one is better before finally deciding if Pag-IBIG Fund is right for you.

You can always pay over the counter, or issue a set of post-dated cheques or arrange an auto-debit with your bank.

@Paige:
It’s not at all practical to have Pag-IBIG Office in all countries. So, in your case, you may want to do it here in the Philippines.
@Nylra:
You may want to ask one of your relatives to do it here in the Philippines.
@Inah:
Please ask your husband to proceed to Pag-IBIG Office to check for his total contributions and ask for a pre-qualification. Actually, you will know this once you attend the Loan Counselling Session, which is like a scheduled seminar on housing loan.
@Dennis:
YOu can pay for it one time, but you have to wait for another 12 months before you can apply for a loan.
@Ariel:
At the moment, there is no such facility yet. What you can do instead is issue a set of post-dated checks or arrange for an auto-debit with your bank here in the Philippines.
@Alex:
You’re question is one of a kind! 🙂 Yes, you can still cancel it.
@Lea:
Please see reply @Dennis.
@Jaybhe:
Please refer to the reply @Dennis and also you may want to read the
article on Income and Loan Amount Entitlement.
@Amie:
Please understand that the contributions has to be continuous while you still have your loan. By the way, the contribution is your membership due which is different from the monthly due on the amortizations.
@Riza:
In your case, it’s best to just ask your sister to do it here in the Philippines.
@Mon:
Please tell them that you were once a member of Pag-IBIG and you only need to re-activate your membership.
@Lyn:
It’s best if you can do it once you are back here in the Philippines.
geremie says
i submitted my employee certificate thru my developer during my vacation last 2010. However, they asked again now to provide them the same certificate but should mention “unlimited contract” (open ended contract). They’re telling me that Pag-ibig Fund will not process my application unless i’ll submit again another certificate of employment. for you info,there’s no problem in requesting the said Certificate in our HRD but i will spend almost 200 SAR (2,320 php) to send this thru DHL/Fedex in the Philippines.
admin says
@Geremie:
Please make it clear with your developer to give you a list of requirements once and for all so that you can process them one time. Maybe they needed the first Certificate of Employment for qualifying you as a buyer. And then this time, Pag-IBIG would like to make sure that you are indeed worthy to be granted a loan… It has to do with the risk factors involved in loaning someone.
Oh, one more thing, ask them if an electronic document will sufficient. If so, then just send a fax/email attachment… That way, you can save on time and money.
Paula says
Hello Adm.
How long take the evaluation and inspection for the prior of loan take out, after my developer delivered all my documents to your office.Thank you!
admin says
@Paula:
For Pag-IBIG accredited projects, they usually do the inspection by batch. That means, many houses are inspected at once.
If you are the only one in the subdivision that uses Pag-IBIG Loan, it may take a while for them to inspect the house. Please follow-up with both the developer and the Pag-IBIG in-charge of the inspection.

@jonna:
A lot of OFWs have similar case like yours. It’s best to contact the Pag-IBIG Fund Office or branch nearest you for this matter.
If you have other questions about your membership, please read this article:
https://www.pagibigfinancing.com/articles/2011/pag-ibig-fund-membership-question-and-answer/
@chris:
The amount of loan that you may be granted for an MPL loan will depend on your contributions. Please refer to this article:
https://www.pagibigfinancing.com/articles/2011/more-on-pag-ibig-multi-purpose-loan/
@Charlaine:
One of the ways you can do that is to ask a representative here in the Philippines do that on your behalf.
@Chick:
Sure you can always pay in advance.
@Albert:
You can use the existing one. Tell them that you are already a member.
@cali:
Here are some of the best ways to do it:
https://www.pagibigfinancing.com/articles/2011/5-ways-to-pay-the-pag-ibig-fund/
@alma:
You can process it on his behalf. Please proceed to the Pag-IBIG Office. Meanwhile, please read this link for the requirements
that you need to prepare.
https://www.pagibigfinancing.com/articles/2010/voluntary-membership-to-pag-ibig-fund-the-self-employed-freelancers-and-non-employees/
@Siomesan:
You may continue with your previous payment. Please ask the assistance of your agency on how to do it.
@Sarah:
Yes, you can be a member of the Pag-IBIG Fund. But you may not want to be involved in the hassle of becoming a member just to get a loan. Please
bear in mind that you have other much simple alternatives.
@Jenny:
Yes, after two years you can start applying for a home loan.
@Juliana:
The very first thing you need to know is that the benefits are only available to Pag-IBIG Members.
@Andy:
Please check it at the office.

Pag-IBIG can extend up to 3M to all its elligible members. You can try to apply to see how much you can loan, but first, you need to reactivate your account.
I suggest that you also read the article about Income and Loan amount, which you can find from the link below.

Yes, you simply need to reactivate your previoous account. Please take note that you should just be updating your Pag-IBIG I account and not enroll a new POP account.

Hi Mariz,
The effect is the same: Your account is activated. If you choose that route, you should request them to consolidate your past contributions with your current ID Number. Remember that you past contributions are also you money which must be credited to you.

good day! I just want to ask, how would i know if i am a PAG IBIG FUND member? I am working here in UAE as housemaid thru agency. I am here for 1 year and 6 months. As i know, i have signed an application back there in the agency. How can i know my id#? I don’t have any proof that i become a member. Please kindly advice me what i am going to do to update my membership. Thanks

hi, my husband is planning to have a housing loan worth 2M. I will be his co-borrower. What papers should I provide for it? I am working now in AB Canada as nanny. I was a former member of Pag ibig for 4 years becuase I was a Gov’t teacher before I came over. Where can I find the PAG IBIG office here in CA?
thank you,

Meraluna,
I’m not sure what kind of advice you are seeking, but I think you are still a member of the Pag-IBIG Fund.
